Privacy policy.

Your files, stories and creative work belong to you. This single policy covers the Made by Max V website and the apps Unfolio, Screenoir and ScreenWriteMe, as well as future apps that expressly link to this page.

At a glance

Our current apps are designed to work with content on your device. We don't require app accounts, operate advertising or cross-app tracking, or collect your comics, videos, scripts, reading history or viewing history on our servers. In-app files and preferences are stored locally; optional file-provider access, backups, exports, email support and website hosting are explained below.

1. Information collected through the apps

Unfolio, Screenoir and ScreenWriteMe do not send your personal content or usage data to Made by Max V. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs in these apps. The apps do not require a Made by Max V account.

2. Your content and information stored on your device

Depending on the app, locally stored information may include imported comic files and reading preferences (Unfolio), selected videos, subtitles, playlists, playback positions and settings (Screenoir), or scripts, writing preferences and associated backup settings (ScreenWriteMe). This information stays on your device or in locations you specifically choose through your operating system; Made by Max V cannot remotely access it.

3. Files, cloud providers, backups and exports

Some apps can open files through the system Files picker. If you select a file stored in iCloud Drive or another provider, that service may transfer it to your device under its own terms. This does not mean the developer receives your file.

ScreenWriteMe can save backups to a folder you choose, which may be on your device or in iCloud Drive or another provider. Exports such as PDF or Fountain are shared only when you choose a destination. Device-level iCloud or computer backups may also include app data, depending on your device settings. Those backups and transfers are managed by the relevant service, not Made by Max V.

4. Website visitors

The Made by Max V website is designed as a static site without accounts, website analytics, advertising pixels or marketing cookies. We do not intentionally build visitor profiles. However, hosting or security providers may process technical records such as IP addresses, request times, pages accessed and browser information to deliver and protect the website. Their handling and retention follow their policies. Confirm the actual hosting providers and any scripts added during deployment before publishing.

5. Support emails

If you contact us, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate problems and maintain relevant support correspondence—not for advertising. Your and our email providers process the message under their respective policies. Please avoid sending passwords or private comics, videos, scripts or other sensitive files unless necessary.

6. Third-party services

Apple's App Store, device backups, cloud file providers, email services and any externally linked services have their own privacy policies. Made by Max V does not control their processing. Our current apps do not share user information with third-party advertising or analytics companies.

7. Retention and deletion

Your app data remains under your control on your device or in storage locations you choose. You can remove content within the app, delete exported and backup files through Files, or delete the app and its locally stored data. Offloading an app may preserve its data. Cloud/device backups may require separate deletion. We do not have an account or server-side copy of your app content to delete.

We keep support correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve requests and maintain records, subject to applicable requirements. Contact us to ask about messages you have sent, including requests for access or deletion. Hosting providers manage technical logs under their own retention rules.

8. Children's privacy

Our current apps do not ask users to create an account or provide personal information to us, and we do not knowingly collect children's information through the apps. A parent or guardian may contact us about personal information contained in a support message.

9. Changes and future apps

We may update this policy if app features, data practices or website services change. The updated date will appear above. A future app will be covered by this policy only if it links to this page and its actual data practices are consistent with the policy; material differences will be explained here or in a separate policy.
